We recently returned from a two week trip to Connecticut. We took care of Olivia and Laura while Amy and Mark went to Belize for a week for a well deserved 10th anniversary vacation. They loved Belize and had a great time. They did the zipline through the jungle, went tubing on a river that went through caverns, hiked through the jungle to see waterfalls, visited Mayan ruins, snorkled on the reef and Amy petted a shark (yikes!), sailed on a catamaran, etc.
I think their neighbors and friends had a betting pool going as to how long we would last taking care of the girls because they all told us to call if we needed help!(grin). We did fine and had a great time with the girls. But we certainly found out that taking care of two little girls is more than a full-time job and don't know how Amy does it without a break.
We were so busy during our trip that we didn't have time to get together with our Connecticut friends so will have to see them when we go back up to Connecticut for Christmas only four weeks from now!
It was COLD while we were in Connecticut and we were happy to return to paradise and Enchantress!!
We will be having Thanksgiving dinner with friends and other cruisers. The Dockside Restaurant will provide the turkey and dressing and everyone will bring a dish for potluck.
